This is the category the official apps compete in — getting photos off the camera and onto a phone. Sorted by number of ratings, because that is the only honest ordering: a 5.0 from a handful of users tells you nothing.

How to read this

• Read the sample size first. Several apps here show 5.0 from fewer than fifteen people.
• Check the update date. The most-rated app in the whole list has not shipped an update in over a year, which matters when a new body arrives.
• Paid does not mean better supported. Some paid apps are actively maintained; at least one is not.
• You may not need an app at all. A USB-C card reader, or a direct MTP connection, bypasses this entire category — which is what many heavy users end up doing. See transfer problems.

Ratings and prices come straight from Apple's own App Store listings for the US store, last checked 2026-08-30. Ratings move, so check the store if that date looks old. No app here pays to be listed.
