Lens hoods for the Ricoh GR
There is no standalone official hood. Third-party hoods mount on the lens adapter, so the adapter has to be right for your body first — and a hood ends the camera being pocketable.

What to watch out for
Lens hood (third-party only)
- Ricoh lists no standalone hood; the one it does supply comes bundled with the GW-4 conversion lens.
- Third-party hoods mount on the lens adapter, so you need the correct adapter for your body first.
- A hood intrudes into the view of the GV-1 and GV-2 optical finders.
- A hood makes the camera no longer pocketable, which is most of the point of a GR.
