Ricoh GR lens adapters: which one fits your body
Three adapters, three near-identical names, and they do not interchange. Ricoh says so in writing.

What to watch out for
Lens Adapter GA-1
- Ricoh states plainly: "GA-1 cannot be used on the GR IIIx." Buying by series name rather than exact model is the single most common way to get this wrong.
- Required to mount the GW-4 wide conversion lens on the GR III.
Lens Adapter GA-2
- Ricoh states plainly: "GA-2 cannot be used on the GR III."
- Required to mount the GT-2 tele conversion lens on the GR IIIx.
Lens Adapter GA-3
- The GR IV uses its own adapter. GA-1 and GA-2 are for the GR III and GR IIIx respectively.
- No adapter has been announced for the GR IVx.
Hood and Adapter GH-3
- Ricoh states the GH-3 is required to use a 49mm filter on the GR II — it is the only route to a filter thread on this body.
- Also required to mount the GW-3 wide conversion lens.
- A hood-and-adapter set, not a bare ring, so it is bulkier than the GA adapters on later bodies.
- The GA-1, GA-2 and GA-3 adapters are for the GR III, GR IIIx and GR IV. None of them fit a GR II.
